Wir freuen uns sehr, Professor Dr. Amos Goldberg für einen Vortrag in der Forschungsstelle Hamburgs (post-)koloniales Erbe willkommen zu heißen. Er wird am 24. Mai um 10 Uhr zum Thema „Recent debates on the Holocaust, antisemitism and colonialism. An Israeli perspective“ sprechen. Der Vortrag wird auf Englisch in den Räumlichkeiten der Forschungsstelle stattfinden. Zudem werden wir den Vortrag über Zoom streamen.
Amos Goldberg ist Professor und Leiter des Avraham-Harman-Forschungsinstituts für zeitgenössisches Judentum an der Hebräischen Universität von Jerusalem. Er ist ein Historiker des Holocaust und der Erinnerung an den Holocaust. Derzeit ist er als Dr. Gabriele-Meyer-Fellow am Institut für die Geschichte der deutschen Juden in Hamburg und recherchiert für sein neues Buch zur Kulturgeschichte des Warschauer Ghettos.
Da der Platz in der Forschungsstelle begrenzt ist, ist eine Teilnahme in Präsenz nur nach Bestätigung nach vorheriger Anmeldung möglich. Auch für eine Teilnahme via Zoom ist eine Registierung erforderlich. Sie erhalten danach den entsprechenden Link. Aus Datenschutzgründen werden nur der Vortrag selbst und ein anschließendes Gespräch zwischen Amos Goldberg und Jürgen Zimmerer gestreamt. Die offene Diskussion ist den in Präsenz Teilnehmenden vorbehalten.

We are delighted to welcome Professor Amos Goldberg at the Research Centre Hamburg’s (post-)Colonial Heritage. He will give a lecture titled „Recent debates on the Holocaust, antisemitism and colonialism. An Israeli perspective“ on May 24th at 10 am. The lecture will be held in English at the research centre. In addition, we will be streaming the talk via Zoom.
Amos Goldberg is an associate Professor and the Head of the Avraham Harman Research Institute of Contemporary Jewry at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is a historian of the Holocaust and Holocaust memory. Currently, he is a Dr-Gabriele-Meyer-Fellow at the Institute for the History of German Jews in Hamburg and is researching his new book on the cultural history of the Warsaw Ghetto.
As space in the research centre is limited, attendance in person is only possibly after registration in advance and confirmation. Please also register for participation via Zoom, and we will send you the corresponding link. For reasons of data protection, only the lecture itself and a subsequent discussion between Amos Goldberg and Jürgen Zimmerer will be streamed. The open discussion is reserved for the participants in attendance.
